The Pain Doesn’t Stop — Neither Will I
On 6th February, I’ll step in front of a punch bag and stay there for 24 hours.
One bag.
One man.
One fight.
I’ll be raising money for Lync to the Stars through what will likely be the hardest thing I’ve ever done (After losing my boy)— physically, mentally, emotionally, and through pure stamina. This isn’t a fitness challenge. It’s an all-in test of everything I’ve got.
I’m not delusional. I know this is going to be extremely hard. There will be moments where my body hurts, my head is loud, and everything tells me to stop.
But that’s my day-to-day life.
The pain of losing our son Lync doesn’t switch off. It doesn’t fade with time. You wake up, you carry it, and you fight your way through the days — every single day.
This challenge is my way of showing that fight.
Making the invisible visible.
Every hour I’ll take just 10 minutes to check my hands, drink, and reset — but the clock never stops. While I rest, someone will step in to keep the bag moving, because grief never really stops moving either.
I might not complete this — and I’m okay saying that.
What I do know is this:
I’ll go for as long as my body or mind allows me to. I’ll give everything I have, because that’s what living with this pain already demands of us every single day.
I won’t be doing this alone. Ross will be my coach and number-one motivator throughout — pushing me, grounding me, and keeping me moving when it gets hard.
I’ll also be donating 10% of everything raised to Better Minds Boxing (BMB) — to help it grow, build, and continue supporting other lads with their day-to-day struggles. That’s something else my heart is fully in.
As always, please help me support Lync to the Stars.
This one, I’m going to need every bit of help I can get — whether that’s sharing, donating, turning up, or simply standing with me through it.
Finer details will follow shortly we go live with it 28th
This is about turning pain into purpose.
About keeping Lync’s name moving forward.
About helping others while fighting through my own.
The pain doesn’t stop — neither will I.
For Lync. 💙
Tonight we were presented with a cheque from Roughleys Bike Show in support of Lync to the Stars 🩵⭐️
A massive thank you to Simon, Dave, and Helen from Memories Funeral Directors for once again standing behind us, going out of their way to arrange this, and continuing to support what we do — we honestly can’t thank you enough 💙
This year, we’ve been able to support two families exactly the way we set out to when we started all of this. None of it would be possible without the people around us — and without you all caring.
I also had to say a few words tonight, which I can assure you was not expected and extremely scary 😅 — but I’m so glad I did! 😊⭐️
Thank you
Lee & Genna (Daddy & Mummy)🩵
